The number one reason of house plants dying is probably overwatering. When you give your plants too much water a couple of times, this can mean the end for your beloved green friend.
An easy solution is to use a moisture meter. Using it is very easy.
Step 1: Simply stick the moisture meter in the pot and wait for 30 seconds.
Step 2: Read the level of moisture in the soil from the display
Step 3: Water your plant if needed, if not wait for an other day or so.
Step 4: Wipe off any soil that’s left on the moisture meter before using it again on an other plant (it might give you wrong information).
Levels of moisture explained:
Red zone: The soil is dry, you can water your plant.
Green zone: The soil is moist, this is ideal for your plant.
Blue zone: The soil is wet. When you have just watered your plant the meter can indicate ‘wet’. This is noting to be scared of, after all you have just watered your plant. If the moisture meter continues to incite your soil is wet you might want to double check your plant.
