How to care for your Anthurium Queen of Hearts?
The Anthurium Queen of Hearts is best placed in a place with indirect light. When the light touches the leaves you’ll see the amazing shimmer on the leaves! Avoid direct sunlight, as this can cause burn marks.
Watering is best done once or twice a week. Check before watering the soil of the plant. It can remain slightly moist at all times, but do make sure the roots are not constantly wet. Is the top 2 centimeter soil dry? Then give the Anthurium Queen of Hearts a splash of water.
The Anthurium Queen of Hearts loves a higher humidity. Try keeping is around 65%-75%. When the humidity is too low for too long the leaves will start to crisp up.
In the summer months you can fertilize your plant. In the colder and winter months no fertiliser is needed. Please always check the instructions on your own fertiliser if it has other care instructions.
It’s advisable to repot your plant once a year into a bigger pot. When choosing a new pot, go 1 size bigger. This will give the roots sufficient room to grow which will result in new foliage growth.
Anthurium species can cause irritation to animals or humans when ingested.
