How to care for your Begonia Peltata?

Light

Begonia are very easy plants to care for. The Begonia species love some indirect sunlight. With sufficient amount of light the foliage will look gorgeous!

Water

Begonia aren’t too difficult when it comes to watering. Normally a bit of water once a week should be fine. Preferable you don’t let the soil dry out completely between waterings.

Soil

Pot your Begonia Peltata in a mixture of potting soil and perlite. This will give sufficient drainage to the soil.

Humidity

Begonia Peltata does appreciate an higher humidity than average. Try keeping the humidity around 65% – 70% of the plant to flourish.

Fertilisation

In the summer months you can fertilize the plant regularly. In the colder and winter months no fertiliser is needed. Please always check the instructions on your own fertilizer for the exact instructions.

Repotting

The best time to repot is during the beginning of the growing season. Begonia Peltata don’t need to be repotted very often. This low maintenance plant is fine with a repot once very 2 years or so.
