How to care for your Dischidia Oiantha Variegata ‘White Diamond’?
Light
Dischidia are closely related to Hoya. Growing Dischidia can be just as easy. Dischidia love some good bright light throughout the day. So a spot with bright indirect sunlight would be ideal. Avoid too much direct sunlight on your plant.
Water
Watering of your Dischidia will mostly depend on place it stands and the time of year. When the plant gets much light it’s probably going to need water once a week. In winter times Dischidia don’t need to be water very frequently and once ever two weeks should be fine.
Soil
Just like most Dischidia, Dischidia Oiantha Variegata ‘White Diamond’ likes a well draining soil mixture. Mixing some coco coir, pine bark and perlite would be ideal. In the shop we have a special Hoya soil mixture which is also perfect for your Dischidia.
Humidity
Your Dischidia Oiantha Variegata ‘White Diamond’ doesn’t need a high humidity to thrive. It will do well in normal house hold conditions. A minimum humidity of 40% is recommended.
Fertilisation
In the summer months you can fertilise the plant once every week. In the colder and winter months no fertiliser is needed. Please always check the instructions on your own fertilizer for the exact instructions.
Repotting
The best time to repot is during the beginning of the growing season. Dischidia Oiantha Variegata ‘White Diamond’ don’t need to be repotted very often. This low maintenance plant is fine with a repot once every 2 years.
Toxicity
Dischidia species are toxic for humans and animals when ingested.
