How to care for your Epipremnum Aureum?
Light
A good amount of indirect sunlight is recommended for the Epipremnum Aureum. A bit of morning sun is perfect. Epipremnum Aureum shouldn’t have a problem with a more darker spot. However the beautiful colored foliage may fade a bit.
Water
Generally speaking Epipremnum Aureum is an easy plant. Watering this plant once a week should work out fine. The soil can dry out a little, but don’t let it dry out completely between waterings.
Soil
A light and airy soil mixture which is suitable for most aroids can also be used for the Epipremnum. Try using one part coco coir, one partperlite and one part pine bark together for a good consistency. Alternatively buy a pre-mixed soil mixture in our shop!
Humidity
For the plant to thrive in your home we recommend to keep the humidity at a minimum of 60%. With a lower humidity the leaves can crisp and that would be a shame of the great foliage.
Fertilisation
Fertilizing your plants is a good idea in the summer months. Always follow the instructions given on the bottle for the right amount of fertilizer.
Repotting
Epipremnum Aureum can grow very rapidly. Therefor repotting your plant once a year is a smart thing to do. Once the root system is well established in the pot, repot the plant into a slightly bigger one. Add a bit of fresh soil and your done!
Toxicity
The Epipremnum may cause irritation for humans and animals if ingested.
