The Hoya Carnosa is part of the big Apocynaceae-family. There are already more that 500 registers Hoya species around. But as botanics still discover new species it’s more likely that there are about 600 or 700 different Hoya varieties. What they have in common is the place the originate from. Hoyas originally come from the tropical parts of Azia to even Australia.

In terms of care the Hoya Carnosa is similar to Hoya Carnosa Tricolor of Hoya Carnosa Krimson Queen. A warm spot is recommended. For example, do you have a spot by a west facing window? There you can put or hang this Hoya perfectly! The plant also likes a slightly moist soil, but pay attention that no water remains in the pot. You can also give the plant a spray once in a while, but it can happen that some limescale remains on the leaves.
