How to care for your Livistona Rotundifolia?
Light
Perferable place your Livistona Rotundifolia in some indirect light. Alternatively a spot with semi-shade will also do just fine.
Water
Livistona are tropical plants and do like a good splash of water. Ensure the soil is evenly moist after watering. Don’t let the soil dry out in between watering.
Soil
Livistona Rotundifolia will do fine in regular potting soil. For a lighter soil with some drainage, mix it up with some perlite.
Humidity
Livistona will be fine in average house hold of office conditions. It doesn’t need a particular high humidity to do well. It is recommended to keep the plant away from cold draughts and heat sources.
Fertilisation
In the summer months you can fertilize your plant. In the colder and winter months no fertiliser is needed. Please always check the instructions on your own fertiliser if it has other care instructions.
Repotting
Livistona are not very fast growing plants. Therefore repotting regularly is not necessary, only when the plant is very root bound. A repot once every two or even 3 years should be the minimum. In the years you’re not repotting the plant, you could replace a bit of the soil for some fresh soil.
Toxicity
The Livistona is considered not toxic to animals or humans.
