How to care for your Monstera Thai Constellation?
Light
The Monstera Thai Constellation loves a good amount of indirect light during the day. It will enhance the beautiful variegated leaves of the plant. When placed much darker, the growth can be stunned and new leaves may have less variegation.
Water
We advise to water your Monstera Thai Constellation about once a week. Depending a bit on your local climate, this should be sufficient. As this plant come is a small pot size, be very careful not to overwater or underwater the plant!
Soil
The soil should be an airy well draining mixture to avoid root rot. Try using one part coco coir, one part perlite and one part pine bark together for a good consistency. If you don’t like to hustle of mixing you own soil, get some of our Premium Soil Mixture or even the Deluxe Soil Mixture.
Humidity
Monstera can live in any house hold environment. For your Monstera Thai Constellation to thrive it’s best to keep the humidity at a minimum of 60% – 70%, especially in the winter.
Fertilisation
From mid-March to mid-October it is wise to fertilize your plants. Not only will the fertilizer give much needed nutrients to your plant, it can also enhance the growth. In winter time fertilizing is not needed. How much fertilizer to use and how often to use it will depend on the product you have available. For the correct instruction, always check the bottle before using.
Repotting
The best time to repot is during the beginning of the growing season. Check if your plant is root bound in it’s nursery pot. Then it’s time to move it to a bigger size pot of around 2 cm extra.
Toxicity
The Monstera is may cause irritation to humans and animals when ingested.
