The Philodendron Prince of Orange is perhaps one of the most beautiful Philodendron species. Due to its unique growth the plant never gets boring, you can keep looking at it! The Prince of Orange’s new leaves are bright orange as they unfold. As the plant matures, the foliage turns lighter orange to yellow. Eventually, the foliage will fade to a beautiful bright green color. Adult leaves will also be more ribbed.
The Philodendron Prince of Orange is a low-growing, shrubby Philodendron and can grow very fast. So make sure you place the plant in a place where it has plenty of room to grow. Under good conditions, the plant can almost double in size in one year. It is therefore good to re-pot the plant once a year to a larger pot and to provide it with some new potting soil.
You also prefer to place the Philodendron Prince of Orange in a light position. Watch out for direct sunlight, this can damage the beautiful leaves! Preferably give the plant a good dash of water once a week. Just make sure that no water remains in the bottom of the pot. This can cause root rot. To prevent this, you have a number of options. For example, use an airy potting soil so that the water can flow well. Overall, the Philodendron Prince of Orange is an easy houseplant and quite forgiving.
The Philodendron Prince of Orange is a real must-have for every plant lover and is excellent in any urban jungle. Whether you are just starting your collection or already have a lot of plants, this should not be missed!
