How to care for your Zamioculcas Zenzi?
Light
Zamioculcas are perfect plants to place in a darker corner of you living room. Some shade will be much appreciated by these plants. Of course a bit of indirect sunlight is not a problem.
Water
Zamioculcas Zenzi is a very low maintenance plant and doesn’t require to be watered very regularly. The plant has very thick and big roots, which can store water for a while. When you water your plant once a month, that should be fine.
Soil
To avoid the soil staying too wet, we advise to use a light and airy soil mixture. You can use a pre-made soil mixture for aroids or you can of course mix your own.
Humidity
Zamioculcas don’t require a very high humidity. In most house hold conditions the plant will be happy. Try to keep the humidity around 50%.
Fertilisation
In the growing season you can fertilize your Zamioculcas Zenzi without a problem. Always check the care instructions before using the product.
Repotting
The best time to repot is during the beginning of the growing season. When you repot your plant it’s best to use a new pot which is 20% bigger. This will give the roots some space to continue to grow. Repotting can be done once a year or every other year, depending on the size of the plant and its roots.
Toxicity
Zamioculcas can cause irritation when ingested by humans and animals.
